Questions
Where is my data stored?
On the computer where you install Mise. We do not receive or store your business data. Our servers only know your account email, your business name, which modules you subscribe to and the random ID of each installation.
What if my internet goes down?
Keep working. Mise checks in with our server in the background and needs to reach it at least once every 14 days. If it cannot, your paid modules pause until it reconnects. Your data is never touched.
Do I need to back up my data?
Yes. Because your data lives on your computer, you are responsible for backing it up. We cannot access or restore it.
Can I use Mise on more than one computer?
An account can have two active computers at a time, for example your main PC and a replacement while you move. Remove an old one from your account page.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your paid modules pause. The basic parts of the app and all of your data stay on your computer, and everything comes back as soon as you subscribe again.
Is Mise tax or legal advice?
No. Mise helps you prepare payroll, remittances and returns, but you remain responsible for what you file. Check figures with your accountant.
